Organic Gardening this Summer

Hey SEE gardeners! During the summer the grass grows very fast at the garden. As a result there is a need to have more work parties. Here is the summer schedule: June 4, June 18, July 9, July 23, August 6, August 27, September 10. These work parties will start at 8am and end at 9:30am. Main tasks will be to roll up the hoses and cut the grass between plots. We will also work on the compost. SEE's first plot has been planted for the summer and includes okra, squash, black eyed peas, eggplant, chives, and tomatoes. Our second plot will be planted this weekend. For directions or more info, visit: http://sites.google.com/site/uforganicgardens/. Weather permitting, a quick trip to a local spring or lake may be in order to cool off after the gardening is complete =)

RSVP on the SEE Facebook Group or e-mail James O'Connell at joconnell@ufl.edu.
